only a fool would think they could steal from a werewolf …

Anticipating a quiet night alone with the man she loves, Darcy’s world is sent into a spin with the arrival of someone from the past—Mason’s. She is further shocked by the intruder’s claim she may not even be the true mate of the Mystic Wolves Alpha. Accusations start to fly, leading to her new enemy being granted asylum, and this is just the beginning of trouble.

Relying on the reassurances of Mason and the support of her friends and Pack, Darcy soon falls under attack. Suspicions are raised, and with no other choice, she must flee with Devlin to safety where hopefully they can untangle the lies hidden behind the use of magic. Time is quickly ticking away, leading to a showdown where everything is on the line.

They need to uncover the truth before it’s too late, or once again, Darcy will need to fight to hold onto her dreams.

First Line:

‘Excuse me?’ I looked the woman up and down.  It irritated me how she hung on mason, as if she had every right in the world to do it.

My Review:

This is the Second Volume of The mystic wolves series, and it did not disappoint.   Picking up where we left off after the death of Mason’s sister, Mason and Darcy are confronted by Mason’s ex girlfriend Amber, she want’s protection from her father and asked to stay with the Mystic wolves.  Darcy does not trust Amber and keeps a close eye on her.

Amber is up to something and it is up to Darcy to find out before it is too late.  I love this series because not only does it have one of my favourite mythical creature the werewolf in it,  It is full of action, romance and nail-biting suspense. It’s like the universe transpires to push Darcy and Mason apart and In this volume, secrets and revelations are uncovered as Darcy fights for the love of her life, when magic and evil deeds try to destroy their love for each other, the plot definitely had me biting my nails and feeling deeply for  Darcy.

There is a lot of sexual tension between the characters and not just between Darcy and Mason I was surprised by a few revelations about the loyal wolves and vampires. It will be exciting to see what happens next.  This series is definitely a must read.
