The Synopsis

Nothing should come between best friends, not even boys. ESPECIALLY not boys.

Natalie and Brooke have had each other’s backs forever. Natalie is the quiet one, college bound and happy to stay home and watch old movies. Brooke is the movie—the life of every party, the girl everyone wants to be.

Then it happens—one crazy night that Natalie can’t remember and Brooke’s boyfriend, Aiden, can’t forget. Suddenly there’s a question mark in Natalie and Brooke’s friendship that tests everything they thought they knew about each other and has both girls discovering what true friendship really means

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed reading Anything to have you, I read it in one sitting it was just one of those books you can’t put down.  Mostly stereotypical high school story, Brooke and Natalie have been best friends forever, Natalie is the quiet good girl who stays home and Brooke is the party girl.  Brooke convinces Natalie that she should let her hair down and go to a party with her, at the party Natalie drinks too much and wakes up the next morning and can’t remember anything that happened, but realizes that she had sex with someone, she has no idea who it was.

Brooke annoyed the crap out of me, she is self centered and obnoxious, where Brooke is quiet and is happy to stay at home, Aiden is sweet and kind but still don’t think he made the right choices throughout the book.

The book is fast paced and not once was I bored or drifting, I was glued to the story line, although not original and highly stereotypical Anything to have you has a great plot twist in the middle that will make your head spin.  I recommend this book for anyone that likes romance and high school stories.

Note:  Although I enjoyed this story I do not like the message it is sending to Teenagers, Binge Drinking, Sex, Sex while extremely drunk when a girl can’t give consent is still rape.  No one seemed overly concerned that Brooke  had sex with someone at a party and she could not remember who it was and no one came forward. Not to mention the consequences of her one night stand, which are at least somewhat mentioned in the story.
