Synopsis from Goodreads

Sixteen-year-old Rayna sees angels, and has the medication and weekly therapy sessions to prove it. Now, in remission, Rayna starts fresh at a new school, lands a new job, and desperately tries for normalcy. She ignores signs that she may be slipping into the world she has tried so hard to climb out of. But these days, it’s more than just hallucinations that keep Rayna up at night. Students are dying, and she may be the only one who can stop it. Can she keep her job, her sanity, and her friends from dying at the hands of angels she can’t admit to seeing?

I love Angelic Romance stories, and this book was a surprise, I have had this book sitting in my Kindle for a few months now, Last night I decided to read some of my older ARC’s and I could not put it down.  The cover is absolutely beautiful, and the story an action filled romance that gets you from the beginning.

Rayna has spent years in and out of mental hospitals convinced that she is insane, because she can see angel wings on people. After 3 years she is finally released and in Remission.  Rayna is trying to start her life over, with a new school and new job. Things are going great until a new kid starts at school and he has the most brilliant white wings she has ever seen, convinced she is going crazy again Rayna tries to hide her panic from everyone.

Meanwhile her classmates keep committing suicide after dreaming of dark winged Angels.  To cut a long story short, Rayna discovers that she is not crazy that Angels and Fallen Angels exist and has the most realistic reactions that I have ever read in a paranormal story, to finding out that Demons and Angels exist.  Rayna gets pulled into a war between heaven and hell because she is the only human who can see the Angels for who they are.

This was a quick and entertaining read and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend it.

  1. I was drawn to the cover at first too. It sounds like a great read. I love anything with Angels and Demons! It seems it may be a bit intense to begin with, must be difficult when people think you are crazy. Great review~

    • I loved that most about her, that it seemed more realistic that if you see angels then you must be crazy, a lot of the paranormal romances seem that they just accept that these beings are real. This was more raw.

  2. The cover really is beautiful! I enjoyed the mystery aspect the most I think…and the fact that you really didn’t know who she could trust or who was responsible for what was happening. Love the mention of her being drawn into this war because she can see them. Could you imagine? Great review! Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven.
